This was a while ago- but my sons got to drive a bulldozer. Man, I wish I would have been able to do that.
They've also been in excavators and dump trucks- I'm glad they like heavy equipment because I really do to. I've never been on anything as big or as cool as the excavator but I love operating big machinery. It's relaxing. I know that is probably cause I don't have to do it 60 hrs a week. I've spent considerable time on a largish tractor and find brush hogging acres of field a peaceful experience. This fascination with farm equipment and big machinery is surely because I grew up in the city and suburbia.

If you find yourself in my neck of the woods, give me a call... I'd love to give you and your boys a tour of the quarry! Some of these end dumps are huge... and the blasting shots are spectacular!
