Will someone please explain this Brett Favre thing to me? I probably need Ellen Monroe (resident AR sportologian)to splain me some real sports politic.
Well, kelley, i'm not sure what there is to explain. The Packers didn't want Brett to him and haw 'til training camp again this year, so he decided to retire. Given more thought, he realized he still wants to play football. By that time, the Packers decided they were moving forward with Rodgers, and that they weren't willing to trade him to a team they would play twice every season.
And so, Brett still wanted to play, but he didn't feel wanted in Green Bay. So they worked something out.

If you let a Monroe explain it some Auburn love might taint, er, try to find its way into the conversation... ;)
Ellen: If you're reading this, I'm just kidding! :)

M O N E Y I think when you have as much as most sports folks do, you want more. Also all Brett knows is football.
I have heard he is a big country music fan and there are no country music stations in New York City.
War Eagle for Nick too!
Thanks for the replies- turns out life is simpler than I try to make it sometimes.
